Two new exhibits, of student work, are on display in the mini-gallery on the Main Level.

Paintings and Drawings by Haley Coleman

Semester of Independent Study with Elizabeth King Durand Haley captured the techniques of Charles Burchfield, Emily Carr, and Edward Hopper. Haley explains that her work is made “personal through my own eyes.”

Photographs by Brittany McElrath

Semester of Independent Study with Elizabeth King Durand Brittany studied the works of famous photographers such as Imogen Cunningham and Ansel Adams, discovering an intimacy between the photographer and subject. Brittany’s photographs were taken within three miles of her residence. She describes them as “images of my comfort zone.”

Additional Exhibits

Native American Exhibit, in the main level Lobby and near the Reference Collection. Items displayed are archaeological and ethnographic artifacts from Lavery Library's Native American Collection, one of our many Special Collections. Stone tools, bead necklaces, arrowheads and more are on display. Stop by for a look at this exhibit, curated by Diane Lucas.
